Fishing and boating are permitted, however there are no rentals available. The park offers a car top access area in the day-use area (if you bring it in on the top of your car, you can put it in the river). The “fish trap” access area, near Shelter 3, is suitable for wade fishing.
Hunting opportunities are by reservation only. Reservation period begins October 5. A reservation fee and proof of Hunter Education is required. Click here for more details. Please note, the park is closed for hunts on November 7th and 14th and December 12th-13th for the 2016 season.
Horseback riding is allowed in the park. However, there are no horse rentals available. State law requires visitors carry a copy of a negative Coggins report with each horse brought into the park.
