Picnic Shelters

Four picnic shelters are available for rent through the park’s Reservation Center (1-800-933-PARK). Shelters can be rented daily (8 a.m. to dusk) and are universally accessible.  All shelters include lighting, pedestal grills, a water fountain, and electricity (single 15 amp 120v receptacle).

Swimming

There are no designated swimming areas inside the Shenandoah River State Park, but wading and floating are permitted.

Bike Trails in Virginia

Virginia has fantastic bike trails, and the park here has a wonderful trail system of over 24 miles of trails, seven of which are multi-use. Enjoy hiking and biking around the park as yet another great activity that you can do in addition to swimming, camping, zip lining, and more. Click here for more bike trail information.
