The Raymond R. “Andy” Guest, Jr. Shenandoah River State Park boasts wonderful overnight facilities. The 1,619 acre park contains 10 cabins and one lodge, 4 camp cabins, 32 Electric/Water hookup sites, one group site, and 10 standard tent sites. Visit the park’s website for more information.
Four picnic shelters are available for rent through the park’s Reservation Center (1-800-933-PARK). Shelters can be rented daily (8 a.m. to dusk) and are universally accessible. All shelters include lighting, pedestal grills, a water fountain, and electricity (single 15 amp 120v receptacle).
There are no designated swimming areas inside the Shenandoah River State Park, but wading and floating are permitted.
Virginia has fantastic bike trails, and the park here has a wonderful trail system of over 24 miles of trails, seven of which are multi-use.
