Everett Gee

Everett, or “Trey” as he is known by friends and family, joined the Board of Directors of North Georgia Canopy Tours™ in 2009 after investing along with Kirk Watkins, a former law partner of his for several years with Parker, Johnson, Cook & Dunlevie and then with Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice LLP in Atlanta.  In 2001 Trey left Womble to return to his home state of Virginia and join his family’s business as counsel.  He stayed in touch with Kirk and was invited to join in the successful launch of North Georgia Canopy Tours™, which opened in April 2010.

Trey enjoyed his service on the North Georgia Canopy Tours™ board and learned much of the industry to augment his already significant business and legal experience.  When the opportunity arose for joining with the State of Virginia in a Public Private Partnership to construct a Canopy Tour in a state park in his home state of Virginia, Trey and his wife, Kristin, invited Kirk and his wife, Leah, to assist with the project.  Trey’s bid to establish a first class Canopy Tour in Virginia’s Shenandoah River State Park appealed to the state and an agreement was consummated.

Leah Watkins

As the co-managing member and head of operations at North Georgia Canopy Tours™, Leah was viewed by Trey as a key person for the successful launch of Virginia Canopy Tours™. Leah committed to a consulting relationship with the company to ensure its launch.
